Description
Another build, very recently done. Uhhhhh..... First time doing some custom loop stuff. It's a pain in the *** but looks pretty great. I like my SN850 more than the 980Pro. Running solid 1440p across everything. Great for streaming. Case was alright.
Part Reviews
CPU
Good chip for gaming and streaming but go with 5800x now, it's pretty much the same price nowadays. If you just want to game, go with 5600x. Same performance out the box.
Motherboard
Yeah I don't really like MSI that much but man these boards are some of my favorites to work with. I would still recommend a Gaming Edge or Tomahawk over this trim. Customer liked the look of this, though. Bios is excellent to dig around in.
Memory
Save you some $$$ and get some non lighted kit. Idgaf for the lights they aren't worth the extra cash. Good ram otherwise, but again, rgb puke.
Storage
Yeah it's a nice gen4. I know what everyone says. I still don't care, I like my SN850 more.
Video Card
Spent 700 on one of these with this messed up market. I prefer a 3080 if you can find one for 1500 or less.
Power Supply
Gold, solid psu. I like the modular. 100%
Case Fan
These fans and the QL's are overpriced. If you like iCue or the look, go for it. If you don't care for either of those, save cash and get something cheaper.
Custom
It works, idk. It's my only custom loop venture ever.
