Price is questionable but fortunate to have paid MSRP and not the gouged prices you see nowadays. +500 memory, +120 core with an 0.975 UV. Runs slightly faster than stock and operates 6-10c cooler depending on game/task.

Lower price and lower availability. Wish that one day these are available in store hassle free at anytime.

I got lucky but have not seen these around.

Was so fortunate to find this after a local Best Buy restock. The 4080S handles everything I throw at it with ease at 4k. Founders edition is a bonus as the card looks great and runs quiet and cool.

from completed build 2024-Su 4K Build

Nice and sleek looking. Didn't bother with any tinkering on it and performs just fine out of the box on Linux and their nvidia drivers. Wayland support will need a future driver update to fix most of the issues on Wayland, at least nvidia 555. Coil whine is not present when idle but can be heard when gaming; easily fixed by simply wearing headphones or turning up the sound, no big deal then you can't even hear it.

from completed build A Kind of Cool Computer

Giant and powerful GPU. I love the all black look. Performs well and stays cool because of the giant chunk of metal connected to it. I like the lights on it and that it has a bunch of ports. It only has 1 HDMI port and has 3 Display ports, but most monitors have a display port, so it's not a big deal.

Looks absolutely amazing. The dark FE design is great, looks even better in person. Also subtle lighting for an elegant and sleek look.

The overbuilt 4090 cooler easily keeps it cool while remaining very silent.

Still too expensive, even if performance is great. This one unfortunately has coil whine.

Although this GPU is my bottleneck since I paired with an i9-14900k, the performance out of is impressive. I never managed to get as many FPS in my old computer in high settings as I get now with this GPU. Runs cool at high usage.

Was probably going to go AMD, but snagged one at MSRP. The best price/performance? Not so much, but it'll certainly do. Nice aesthetic and runs very cool. At stock settings, runs mid-50s in games like Cyberpunk on fairly maxed out settings. Has some coil whine at stock, but not terrible using speakers or open-backed headphones.

In MSI AB: Undervolted using method A: Keeping core clock at 2730 MHz -> 985 mv Stable in Cyberpunk -> 225-230 W and low 50s

Undervolted using method B: Lower voltage to 900 mv -> 2550 MHz core clock (still need to push this number higher) and 1100-1200 mem clock optional -> 180-190 W (!) and temps in the mid 40s. Less than 5% reduction in FPS, but an amazing reduction in watts and temps AND also coil whine is drastically reduced.

from completed build 1440p to 4k gaming upgrade

I love Founder's Editions. They look clean and stealthy, and also they have a higher resale value in the future. Nvidia put the 4090 cooler on this mf, which is way overkill. Even after overclocking to 3GHz, the hotspot temps are only 70C under load. Make sure to use a GPU holder or vertical mount though. This thing is heavy enough to crack its own PCB.
